Helena, Montana’s inaugural bodybuilding and physique competition, the Helena Classic, brings athletes from across the Northwest to compete in a professionally run event focused on physique presentation, conditioning, and stage presence.

Divisions & Judging
The Helena Classic welcomes competitors in the following classes: True Novice, Open, Under 35, and Over 35.
Judges will look at each athlete’s physique, conditioning, balance, posing, and stage presentation according to their division:
* Men’s Bodybuilding: Muscular size, symmetry, proportion, and definition.
* Classic Physique: A balanced, muscular look with strong shape and classic posing.
* Men’s Physique: An athletic upper body, broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and confident presentation.
* Women’s Fit Model: A balanced, toned physique with a softer look and polished presentation.
* Wellness: A developed lower body, especially the glutes and thighs, balanced with the upper body.
* Figure: Athletic muscle development, symmetry, definition, and strong quarter-turn presentation.
* Women’s Physique: Muscular development, conditioning, symmetry, and posing.
* Bikini: Balanced shape, developed glutes and shoulders, and confident posing. (This line up is tentatively set.)
Final scheduling, stage instructions, and attire requirements will be shared with competitors before show day. The Helena Classic is an independent competition; NPC membership is not required.
Entry Fee: $100 first class | $50 each additional class

Helena Classic 2026: Competitor Timeline
Friday, October 16
* 5:00–7:00 PM — Competitor registration and check-in
* 7:00 PM — Competitor meeting
Saturday, October 17
* 8:00 AM — Competitor doors open. Athletes with hair or makeup appointments scheduled before 8:00 AM may enter at their appointment time.
* 9:00 AM — Prejudging begins and runs through completion
* 11:30 AM — Strongman competitor meeting
* 12:00 PM — National Anthem
* 4:00PM — Competitors return to staging
* 5:00 PM — Finals presentation begins
* After finals — Meet and greet
* Auction closing time — To be announced
